Eric Kraus

Eric is a Lead Developer / DBA at A3. Contrary to popular belief, DBA does not (always) stand for Don't Bother Asking. It often stands for Database Analyst. This means, he irritates developers by making them use normalized data. In a point for irony, his role as lead developer often times means the developer he is irritating is himself. Having been employed here since roughly 148 B.C., Eric has worn just about every hat imaginable, except the graphically creative one. In general as to who he is at work, he's the one people go to when something seems amiss and they need someone to provide a) an answer, or b) a blank stare. He usually leaves it up to the person making the request to decide which one he provides. His favorite part about working at A3 is the proximity to Solaris Restaurant and Bar… wait… Eric would have to say he enjoys the challenge of getting two disparate systems to communicate to each other, either by data management or developmental methods.

Eric is somewhat a zombie when he arrives in the morning. He claims he never has vitals, but he does steam up a mirror so that has been disproven.  Eric is a single thirty something with no kids and has lived in various places throughout his life, but calls the town of Ligonier in western PA his “hometown”. He actually lived in Jamestown, NY for longer and has been in the south for more than half his life now, but most of his childhood memories are of western PA.

Eric's hobbies are golf, guitars, and Guinness, not necessarily in that order although the Guinness goes well with the first two. You can also throw in some motorcycle riding, as well as the enjoyment of providing a balance to all the drivers who bought fuel sippers by driving cars and trucks that have too much power and not enough fuel efficiency. Even his motorcycle is a gas hog, relative to other motorcycles. When it comes to fuel prices, there are those who never learn… he is one of those.

Come to find out, Eric was originally diagnosed as a kidney infection by his mother's doctor. There are those who would argue that the doctor was indeed correct in his initial diagnosis.

Testimonials

A3's expertise in helping us promote ourselves via the web has positioned our company well for the future. We were also very pleased with the management of the project and A3’s ability to stay on (and even ahead) schedule and budget. Your project manager, Diane, handled tremendous amounts of communication very well, anticipated our needs, and made sure there were no surprises along the way.  Job well done.  Stephen, VP of Sales
