Application development to provide a License Plate Recognition system supporting automated identification and location of suspect vehicles.  This system is configurable for use globally, it is not restricted to a given state, locale, region or country.  It has been tested in Thailand and was the first system with a demonstrated capability for recognition of Thai license characters.
  • NPS / Kestrel:  Real-time Automated Position Identification System (RAPIDS
Application development to provide asset tracking, tactical, intelligence & humanitarian Command and Control (C2) situational awareness (SA) for personnel based on air, land, and sea platforms.
  • NPS / Kestrel / CNTPO / SPAWAR / USAF via DSTA/PDI:
Biometric Real-time Automated Position Identification System (BioRAPIDS)
Application development to extend RAPIDS functionality providing the ability to monitor, track, assess the health status of tactical operators involved in Counter Narcotic (CN), Counter Terror (CT), or other missions represents a valuable technology to preserve life, to protect assets, and to conserve resources.
  • NPS / Kestrel: RAPIDS Pointing Module (RPM)
Application development to provide network improvements for the RAPIDS system in support of UAV video / sensor data feed and communications.  Provides automated pointing / alignment of ground based wireless network antenna with deployed UAV through the use of compass / GPS data to extend the flight range of the UAV and effectively extend the SA coverage for any given operational area.
  • ONR / Penn State EOC / MDS / NPS-COASTS: Command, Control and Communications Track (C3Track, a.k.a. TrakPoint)
Application development to provide sensor integration (geo fence, wireless perimeter, live video feed, GPS, GPS denied tracking) for use in asset tracking to support Command and Control (C2) situational awareness (SA) for land based personnel.

The following application / website development efforts were supported by A3 technical resources.

  • A3ITS / U.S. Dept. of Commerce: www.export.gov
Development of Dept. of Commerce web interface standards and search engine software selection.
  • Bearing Point (KPMG) / U.S. Dept. of Education: Financial Student Aid (FSA, IFAP)
Delivered enterprise-class Internet architecture and an application architecture standard plan supporting all future software development.  Incorporated Interwoven Content Management platform into the business process that formalized content migration using IBM WebSphere while keeping metadata about the documents synchronized in an Oracle database.
  • Accenture / U.S. Dept. of Education: www.ed.gov
Provided system integration solutions and web design services for Dept. of Education web redesign project integrating Oracle, Inktomi, WebSphere, and Interwoven.
  • Accenture / U.S. Dept. of Education: Campus-Based Programs (FISAP)
Designed and lead development of system to allow school Financial Aid Administrators the ability to apply for funds online and enable ED to process these complex applications via a web-based interface.
  • Accenture / U.S. Dept. of Education: Financial Student Aid Intranet (FAFSA)
Designed and developed an enterprise-wide Intranet requiring a singular user-centric informational architecture, navigation and page template development, web design / development, and authoring web development standards.
